process all applications within six to eight weeks after the closing date. The
processing of applications for degree programmes with limited places (numerus
clausus) may last until the beginning of the semester.

In case you have applied online, you can check the status of your application on
the \"Status\" menu item. If you have not applied online you will have to wait
until you receive a letter from us.
We kindly ask you to keep your address and email up to date.

\"Antrags-Nummer\" in German) in any further correspondence, including email.
Otherwise we cannot handle your application.

Please note that your documents will not be retained by the University of
Essen-Duisburg if you are not enrolled in the the semester you applied for or if
you fail to reply to queries within two months.
